Donagh Community Employment Scheme Ltd
The Community Employment (CE) programme is now administered under the Department of Social Protection (DSP) and is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged people to get back to work.
We offer part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within our local community. We also offer the opportunity to update existing skills or gain new ones in a wide range of courses from computers, driving, caring, horticulture etc. Participants work 19.5 hours a week in their agreed role but can take up other part-time work during their placement if they wish.
To be eligible and participate in the DSP Community Employment programme, you must:

Positions will be posted up on this site and the Jobs Ireland Website or you may contact our CE Supervisors and you will be provided with the Vacancy number prior to making contact with the DSP. This is required before any Interviews will take place. Job Searches will be carried out on all individuals that apply in order to see if they are eligible for the CE Scheme.
The DSP gives financial support in the form of Allowances and Funding to assist with the Community Employment programme, for example participant wages, supervisor grants, materials grants, and specific skills training grants.
The training provided through Community Employment is delivered within a Quality Assurance framework. See details of recognised FETAC Awards and qualifications which can be achieved and which lead to major awards on the National Framework of Qualifications.
